PROFILE: 8+ years of success in biologic research, data analysis, project management and leadership, scientific writing and editing, teaching and mentorship, and collaborative biomedical-based engineering in university and lab settings. * 6 research publications, highlighting advancements in bone tissue engineering and biopharmaceutical delivery. * Podium presentations at seminars and conferences focusing on scientific networking and research collaborations. * Interdisciplinary biomaterials research training though collaborative programs at UC Davis. * Established multiple collaborations to facilitate equipment sharing and expand research capacity. * Teaching and mentorship of middle through graduate level students diverse in age, ability, and cultural background. * Experience with: PMP, QA/QC, IP, GLP, GMP, GTCP, SOPs, IACUC, HIPAA, OSHA, EHS, Biohazard (I, II) Laboratory Safety, Chemical Safety, Handling and Disposal, Radioactive Material Handling, FDA compliance, ASTM Standards, EPA Chain of Custody Sample Handling Certification, Laboratory Ethics and Data Integrity. Research Interests: The multidisciplinary fields of biomedical engineering and bone tissue engineering including: Ceramic/polymer composite synthesis, drug delivery and delivery vehicle design, tissue engineering, implant design, infection prevention, bone anatomy and healing, mammalian cell culture (mesenchymal and adipose stem cells, osteoblasts, fibroblasts, prostate cancer cell lines), cell-secreted extracellular matrices, biomaterial analysis and characterization, biochemical assays and ELISAs, in vitro and in vivo analysis of biologic, osteogenic, angiogenic, pathogenic and cytotoxic response to bone substitute materials.
