Description
Summary: A specialist in reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, and well log analysis with an extensive experience. Strong technical skills from field operations to development of complex simulators: flow in pipeline and flow through porous media. Was in charge of projects in the United States, North Africa, the Middle East, South America and Europe on the BAB reservoir CO2 injection project. Oxy had already contacted LandMark Graphics to do initial work using their VIP simulator whereas ADCO were using Eclipse for the same work. The idea was to use data used with Eclipse and run them on VIP to check results simply because Oxy did not have access to all the necessary data. Mainly working on the North Caspian Effort: Tangiz-Kashagan Reservoirs Kazakhstan. These are very complex fractured carbonate reservoirs with a difficult geology: a producing platform surrounded by a fractured rim with a steeping fractured flank with complex high temperature high pressure fluids above the critical point and a high H2S concentration. It is operated by Chevron with ExxonMobil 25 % share whose interest is OBO i.e. Operated by Others. The object of the study is to estimate the hydrocarbons in place to simulate this structure using the Eclipse Model and to compare results with the operator's. Worked mainly on West Nile Delta Pliocene gas reservoirs such as Fayoum Giza Libra & Taurus. These reservoirs are channel type-reservoirs with excellent rock quality and complex geology. Used quite a bit of MDT and RFT readings to establish gas/water contacts and determine average reservoir pressure with the ultimate goal to estimate the original gas in place. resulted Responsible for reservoir development and well log analysis with particular emphasis on the Production Logging Tool (PLT). PLT consists of several simultaneous measuring sensors. Developed software for the accurate pressure survey which enabled the determination of the energy potential and problems associated with oil / gas well under consideration. The software was tested in Prudhoe Bay Field, Alaska. Proposed to use the PLT information in conjunction with all other telemetric information derived from other sensors to produce a synergetic image of the reservoir. in the selection of the VIP model of J.S. Nolen & Associates. Carried out the systematic testing and debugging of the model which was in the development stage. Acquisition was recommended. Conducted PLT course work for oil Companies engineers.
