Description
Adaptability, well-developed interpersonal communication skills, creativity, perceptive problem-solving ability, and a driven work ethic are skills that I offer to a prospective employer. Through industrial and academic lab experience, I gained invaluable Quality Assurance experience, which, as a proficient writer, can add to the productivity of an organization. I am a dependable team member or proficient as an independent researcher. As a professional scientist, I understand the dedication required to complete a project on or before a deadline. I possess a sensibility for use of spectroscopic, spectrophotometric, dynamic light scattering, and various analytical methods to validate projects. Through working in a cGMP lab environment and furthering my education through independent study, I understand the need for safe-laboratory practices in the handling, segregation, and disposal of many chemical classes; including: flammable and air-sensitive chemicals (tert-butyl lithium, potassium metal, etc.); hydrides; teratogens; oxidizing and reducing agents; among others. Additionally, I am competent in the design and execution of scientific projects to investigate problems of biological relevance. Further, in addition to my Ph.D., I completed the coursework to earn my Lean Yellow Six Sigma Belt in April 2012 that adds an additional compliment of business acumen to help in positive teamwork with colleagues and management.
