I have attended several years of college, including nursing school, though I did not complete my degree. My main area of educational interest has always been biological sciences and medicine. I work with virtually no supervision in the cytology laboratory as the only full time prep technician; I'm responsible for maintianing all of the equipment and troubleshooting when there are problems. Customer service is paramount and I provide that directly to patients as well as clinics. I also assist in the formation of new procedures and protocols for laboratory tests. I now also assist in Surgical Pathology / Histology in accessioning and assessment of specimen acceptability.
