SUMMARY * Client-focused, solutions-oriented Access Developer and IT analyst with experience designing and maintaining customized data management solutions. * Develops and troubleshoots VBA/SharePoint Designer scripts that perform various functions such as loading data, SQL searches and reporting. * Translates requirements into program code tests, debugs and refines programs to increase efficiency, reduce operating time. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible for enhancing HR database Enhance HR database queries Purpose: Enhance MS-Access HR database with complex IIF statements query joins (Union append and update) and some form enhancement using VBA. Result: Faster query runs better EUC experience. Responsible for maintaining USCG training and quotas databases Build TQMS-linked MS Access applet dedicated to Training Manager (TM) use Purpose: Initially for a course information update form set - access to this will be restricted to just TMs. * Added some new fields into the form and the underlying course table - done. * Provided 'beta' testing of this new applet by restricting access from the live main application for a select TM deploy: o restrict access to this new applet to just training managers o add new fields to backend table in live database o move applet from 'test bed' SharePoint library to 'live' library o Crated User Interface form using data Manipulation Project: Build InfoPath Waiver Request form outside of the MS Access-based TQMS Purpose: To allow the user community to make waiver requests that then need to be approved by Bop staff * Client has initially chosen the InfoPath on SharePoint platform to work with * Set up backend data MS-Access. source on Set up a SharePoint forms-type library. Design form set template in InfoPath. * Have this subsystem tested by Bop staff. Design & deploy SharePoint workflow triggered by saved/submitted records. Build MS-Access based Bop Approver database where Approvers can search and approve previously submitted requests with SharePoint Designer workflow triggers. * Developed & Designed Access forms and created User Interface Forms Project: migrate the 'current-year Change Request (CR) subsystem from an MS Outlook form to a TQMS-integrated MS Access application with SharePoint workflow integration Purpose: better integrate the various CRs for the current FY into TQMS which significantly reduces the manual workload of internal FC-B administrative staff by triggering SharePoint Designer approval workflows scripts. Build and deploy TQMS ETL (Extract Transfer & Load) app for processing Direct Access and Cost Center data via downloaded Electronic Data Warehouse data using Access SQL update append and other queries and Excel . develop new fiscal year upgrade to TQMS (Training Quota Management System) with enhancements. Purpose: the upgrade allows users to build quotas sessions etc. for each FY and beyond (up to five-year forecasts) along with other enhancements. * Provided technical support for a temporary demonstration of the TRACEN applet by our client * Results: the most urgent development need was addressed as the new FY requirements evolved develop and maintain a high-profile set of Excel A- and C-School Execution Plan (X-Plan) reports Purpose: streamline the updating of an existing high-profile report leverage SharePoint's greater accessibility to all coasts and centralize navigation via the client's 'flagship' CGPortal application program and provide a new way for users to view C-School planning data in a similar fashion to what is done with the A-School. Results: A- and C-School Execution Plan (X-Plan) reports maintained/'refreshed' on a weekly basis and they are being developed/revised as needed.
