Summary I am a Certified Professional Coder, and I am also ICD-10 Proficient. I have taken a class for Inpatient Coding, so I have knowledge of ICD-10-PCS as well, but I do not have my certification in that yet. I have 7 years plus of working in the medical field doing medical coding, physician coding, E&M coding, billing, patient registration, claims, follow-up, posting patient payments, posting payments from EOB's, and dealing with insurance companies, and this includes remote coding. I have over 2 years of HCC Coding experience.I have about 5 years of medical billing experience. I've done scheduling in the medical office for office visits and follow up appointments. I've had 10+ years working in customer service, data entry, clerical and sales administrative related work. I get along very well with people, and I also do well on my own. I am a very dependable, hardworking and responsible worker. I am a very quick learner. I enjoy working with people, and I am computer literate. I have worked with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. I can type on an average of 45-60 WPM. I checked out patient's made any appointment's that they needed for follow up or anything else. I helped the patient's with any questions that they may have had before they left the facility. The main specialty I did while I worked here was family practice and outpatient. I also did patient registration for new patients and updated any patient registration that needed to be updated on established patients. I answered the phones and helped the patient out in any way they needed help. I took messages for the nurses and doctors getting all the information they may have needed for the patient including getting the chart. I entered new patients into the system and updated any patient information that needed to be updated that was already in the system.
