With 43 years of extensive training and experience in the welding NDT ship repair and construction trades I bring a wealth of experience and creativity to the body of work. Following high school graduation where shop class instilled a keen interest in the metals trades I enlisted in the navy graduated from US Navy Dive School Steelworkers A & C Schools and became a charter member of UCT 1. That foundation was immediately built upon by achieving an Associate's Degree in Applied Science propelling me to 37 years as a professional diver including 30 as a welder/diver with inspection qualifications from ASNT. I moved from diving to supervising and project management responsible for all aspects of diving operations including job planning and execution safety quality assurance cost monitoring and control. In the course of these pursuits I consulted in the design of and implemented the largest underwater wet welded platform repair ever undertaken in the Gulf of Mexico. Spanning seven months the project included several thousand linear feet of fillet welds both underwater and above the water. All welding was confirmed to meet AWS D3.6 and AWS D1.1 codes by qualified ASNT TC-1A Level II inspectors.
