The experience in event planning and catering I received while working at the Happy Hollow Tavern in Altoona, WI has been invaluable to my career. Not only has it given me the knowledge and resources needed to better assist our guests and to promote our own establishments special events, it has helped me to remember to recognize and appreciate the value of employee moral. It compelled and encouraged me to plan a Holiday party, Company Picnic, Employee Night Out, and work with the owners of the business to shut down one time per year and take all of the employees up North to their cabin.
The Marketing & Advertising experience I have acquired has given me an opportunity to create in-house advertising for the business that includes implementing an in-depth closed circuit television presentation showcasing daily specials, events, and entertainment using Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Point of Sale signs for the restrooms using Microsoft Office Publisher. As a result our Happy Hour sales and Sunday pool leagues increased.
