• GalaxE Solutions (Current) – Senior Project/Program manager for this international outsource/offshore consulting company. Duties include the management of 30 to 50 Mainframe/UNIX developers for a major client. I am responsible for the budget and deliverables for the client as well as GalaxE Solutions. Additionally, I am responsible for the training of all GalaxE staff in security and data management procedures, with respect to the protection of our clients data, as well as the training of other PM's in the user of MS Project and formulation of Budget needs based upon project requirements. Travel to the client site to interface with client management, and interviewing prospective staff in Somerset and Bangalore to insure that they meet the clients technical needs is an integral part of my position, as is the constant monitoring of staff to ensure that client deadlines for implementation are met. I provide weekly status updates to upper management, and assess the current and future hardware and software needs for proposed client expansions. Additional duties include the presentation of a Data Security, lecture. Currently studying for ISCA and CISSP certifications. • Goldman Sachs –Manager with group of 50 subordinates located in three countries. Support of the International (London reporting) trading system. Additionally, I was the interface with Mellon Bank and FDR (Credit Card Clearinghouse), for all technical issues concerning telecommunications and data transfer via TCPIP and SNA. I designed, and implemented a portfolio holders Debit card/checking application that spanned Mainframe, UNIX and WinNT environments. I also managed individuals harvesting data from the internet. Mainframe data was managed on IDMS and DB2 Databases PC databases were Sybase and UDB. • NY Life – Led a group of 100 consultants and employees as we parsed over 3,500 programs in COBOL, PLI and Assembler for Y2K compliance. Additional duties included maintaining a PLATINUM data warehouse containing information on completed programs, applications, and subschemas, so that we could track work accomplished. Additionally, I was responsible for tracking the overall cost of the Y2K conversion effort. Another duty was estimating the cost of converting numerous applications written for IDMS to DB2. • FGIC- Responsible for the Project Management of a group of mixed employees and consultants developing and implementing a re-insurance application for this Municipal Bond Insurer. • Metro-North Commuter Railroad – Manager of multiple groups performing the enhancement of Conductor ticketing and railway pricing applications. The groups were working with a state of the art Mainframe DBMS (IDMS) and had the need to interface to an environment and equipment that was over a decade old, and had hard-wired software limitations. • Manufacturers Hanover Commercial Corporation – Duties at this major banks subsidiary were as a Managing Designer/Analyst. I promulgated Naming conventions, coding standards, and participated in corporate level policy meetings to establish the oversight method(s) for ensuring that standards were adhered to. Additionally, I devised a method for indexing the names of multiple locations of the same entity so that they could be consistently identified as unique entities. • National Prescription Administrators - Duties included the design maintenance and support of the prescription plan databases (IDMS) for this national prescription plan provider. Additional duties included the training of support desk and data entry personnel.
