Description
COVER LETTER: To Whom It May Concern, I am applying for the position of part time Phlebotomist. I have just graduated from the Phlebotomist Course at BOCES in Westbury, NY on July 10, 2016, and am CHP certified. I am initially seeking a part-time position, with the possibility of full-time employment in the future. I worked as a Medical Technician at NUMC (formerly Meadowbrook Hospital) in the Renal Dialysis Unit. I was responsible for Patient Care under the supervision of the Head Nurse. I made the baths, placing the patients on dialysis lines and monitoring their progress throughout the day, completing their session by taking the patient off the lines. My responsibilities also included taking care of the equipment from setup to completion. I also worked for Dr. Yudis at his Dialysis Clinic in Abbington, PA, where I had the same responsibilities as at NUMC. The past twenty-five years I have been in the Beauty Industry as an Esthetician and Nail Technician, where I have honed my skills with the public. As upbeat and enthusiastic as the atmosphere in the salon can be, the personal disposition of the client must be assessed prior to treatment to bring about the best outcome for their service. Possessing these skills is paramount to the success of the client's experience, as well as being successful in one's career. I feel that I am prepared to bring these necessary skills with me to my new profession. I feel that I have a good understanding of the importance of follow-through with clients and their specimens that this career requires. I have the ability to understand and follow step-by-step procedures and the importance they carry in patient information. I look forward to learning more about my new profession as I use my skills to become one of the most proficient phlebotomists available. Sincerely, Robin White
