My duties vary due to my diverse training and experience in Law Enforcement and Security. I was part of a team of professionals that developed an enhanced security plan for our property that is now being implemented. * Since starting my employment with Wynn Resorts, I have received additional training from the Nevada Gaming Board, Secret Service, LVMPD and other sources. A normal day includes monitoring and assisting the Wynn Security force with the daily operations of physical security of the property and assisting Security with gathering the required information needed to start an investigation. My duties include monitoring and assisting as needed with the physical security operations of X/S, Intrigue, Surrender and Encore Beach Club. I was assigned to a district within the city. My responsibilities included patrolling the area as assigned using a proactive approach to preventing and/or responding to crime. I met with complainants to complete the initial report and investigated crimes. I have testified in City, County and Federal court and at the grand jury as needed. I trained regularly for incidents, disasters and active shooter scenarios with our SWAT team and first responders. * I was an (OIC) Officer in Charge many times during my Law Enforcement career. This was a position that placed me in charge of all operations of the police department. * I have over 12 years experience as a background investigator. I completed background investigations for applicants applying as a police officer with the City of Rowlett. These were very detailed investigations that require computer checks, personal interviews with home and neighborhood visits and other investigative techniques as required. I reviewed and updated the Personal History Statement that was required from new applicants. This was a comprehensive change to the hiring process and my changes were approved through the Police Chief's office. I reviewed and updated the procedures and paperwork used during a background investigation. I worked with command staff regarding the applicants and have coordinated, monitored, and/or sat on review boards for new police officers as well as officers that have requested transfers within the department. I have been responsible for organizing the police officer entrance exams from entrance to conclusion. I have scheduled psychological testing and reviewed the results with command staff. I have assisted with the ranking of the qualified applicants and arraigned and monitored the review boards and interviews with the chief of police. I have been involved in all aspects of hiring new officers including working with Human Resources to place the employment ads and pre-screening the applicants to determine qualifications as the online applications were received. * * I am a certified Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) instructor. This program was funded with a grant from the United States Department of Justice. I was responsible for preparing the grant application, submitting the application and the required reporting back to the DOJ.
