To whom it may concern: I would like to apply for the Security Officer position. I retired from the University of Florida as a Program Assistant in 2011. I started out as a Secretary and promoted up to Program Assistant. I retired from the University of Florida in May of 2011 and then lost my husband to a heart attack. I felt the need to be in contact with people, I am currently a Substitute Teacher once more dealing with parents and students. I love people and am very friendly. At the University, I dealt with students, parents, registering them for their courses each semester. I am very happy, loyal, honest, dedicated to my work and work well with others. I show a tremendous amount of initiative, energy and responsibility in my job. I am very reliable and courteous. I have an excellent record and have been finger printed to work in Public schools as a Substitute Teacher. I am now an unarmed Security Office with a Class D Licenses from the State of Florida making a high score on my exam in the 95 o/o. My work attendance and being on time is very important to me. I realize that my age may be a problem in considering me for employment, I don�t feel that way. I exercise regularly and go dancing three nights a week. I feel that I am able and in good health to exercise my duties or I would not have applied. Thank you for the opportunity to apply for this position.
