Description
Profile: Over 15 years of experience in the Quality Assurance, Production and Manufacturing Industry, Including but not limited to * Proficient with Programming PC-DMIS, CMM Manager, Brown & Sharpe Reflex, QC 5000 and other inspection software. * CMM, GD&T, Honeywell Specs & SPOC, MIL-Spec's, Excel, MS Office, Ect * First Article, In-Process, Final Inspection and other phases of Precision Inspection. * Background in a wide variety of production manufacturing departments, shops and associated inspection areas. * Inspection procedures and methods pertaining to machined and fabricated complex parts from in-plant and vendors. Additional Qualifications * Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment in a Quality Assurance role. * Proficient in the use of personal computers and computer database software. * Medical Device and Aerospace Industry experience. * Proficient in the use of a wide variety of precision inspection equipment used to measure parts with tight tolerances (e.g., +/- 0.0001 inches) such as CMM, non-contact instruments (optical comparator, vision system, etc.), surface plate, various hand tools, gauges (calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, go-no-go gauges), microscopes, etc. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics specs, engineering drawings, materials lists and inspection standards. Trained and practiced in applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) methods described in ANSI Y 14.5 and in understanding views and details, symbols, and drafting standards. * Understanding of and ability to appropriately apply sampling techniques. * Math skills, including basic math and measurement units needed to perform shop mathematics. * In depth understanding and ability to apply Inspection Planning: Classification of defects, Inspection points (e.g. receiving, 1st Article, In-process, final). * Extensive understanding of material traceability, and non-conforming material identification and segregation techniques.
