Results oriented, dedicated purchasing professional seeks opportunity in procurement and inventory management where organization, people skills, and broad business experience can make a contribution to an organization's success BACKGROUND SUMMARY: Twentyfive years extensive and diversified procurement management experience in manufacturing organizations as a Commodity Buyer of a large wire form manufacturer in the automotive industry and MRO Buyer and Purchasing Manager of a large aerospace engine hardware manufacturer. Additional experience in developing new suppliers, negotiating annual and long term contracts, inventory management, facility services, MRO commodities, sourcing legacy board level electronic components, developing personnel, improving communications and building teams. PURCHASING: * Prepare and submit monthly time and material cost reports to government contracting agency * Prepare, audit, and submit twice monthly summary billing reports to General Motors * Led the purchasing function for a privately held third party industrial repair company (4.5M in revenues) including supplier selection and sourcing, performance reporting, negotiation * Worked in conjunction with electronics technicians to cross reference legacy electronic components to current technology * Led the purchasing function for a privately held aerospace hot section engine hardware fabricator ($42M in revenues) including supplier selection and sourcing, performance reporting, negotiation of annual and long term agreements (primary customer base was Pratt and Whitney Canada) * Negotiated an annual reduction in spend of $500K through research of the top 30 suppliers supporting the organization. * Negotiated a multi-year cost reduction of 6% annual from primary perishable tool supplier. This agreement also included additional annual reductions offsetting any price increases incurred for raw material. * Developed and implemented On Time Delivery (OTD) performance metric for key suppliers with a requirement to provide Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for those that fell below 95% "on time" delivery performance. * Researched and implemented point of use device equipment for perishable tool supplies targeting high volume product which resulted in inventory reductions of 15% and annual spend of $100K. * Worked in conjunction with Engineering reducing material handling by 50% and scrap reduction of $15K annual converting sheet metal buys to laser cut blanks. This also resulted in $12K of additional cost savings through material yields.
