- 6 -, Southlake/Grapevine, Texas (Dallas Metro Area) (District Enrollment: 7,842)-accredited academically as "EXEMPLARY" by the Texas Education Agency earning highest possible rating. (Carroll ISD, with my departure, was the largest district in Texas to be designated academically "EXEMPLARY" and was one of only 19 of over 1,100 districts so rated.) Responsible for Pre-K through 12 educational services covering all or some portions of the cities of Southlake, Grapevine, Keller, and Westlake. Of service to one senior high school 0 unanimous vote by Board of Trustees on December 18 2003. ACCOMPLISHMENTS cont'd While Superintendent of the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools, elected by fellow superintendents to serve as Chairman of the Superintendents' Advisory Council of the New Horizons Regional Education Centers-Butler ACCOMPLISHMENTS cont'd National Merit Semi-Finalists (9) and National Merit Commended Students (4) are also at an all-time high development of a district-wide Decision Making Matrix for different functions (personnel, curriculum development, school improvement, fiscal affairs, facilities, etc.) extensive revenue enhancement efforts for Carroll ISD within Texas' Robin Hood school finance environment (e.g., successfully recruited official sponsorships from such businesses as Chic-Fil-A, Kharma Coffee, Little Caesar's Pizza, et al., bringing in as much as $20K per year per sponsor for such affiliation) also, successfully recruited the Dallas Burn, professional soccer team, to play in the district's Dragon Stadium grossing approx. $200,000 for the school district during only year of play negotiated successful co-op agreement with the neighboring Grapevine- Colleyville ISD providing the two school districts with mutual management services for transportation saving Carroll ISD approx. $30K annually led the district to a "no deficiencies" financial audit for 2003 - 04 reversing years of sub- par audits revamped district web site for better communication with the public- at-large initiated benchmarking CISD academic progress against top performers [nationally] of like size and demographics initiated Principal-Led Evaluation
