Summary I graduated the Caterpillar Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship in 1983 and worked in the trade ever since. I hold a journeyman Tool and Die Maker card from the UAW. I have worked in the Ag-Imp, Automotive, and Aerospace industries. My last 25 years has been with MMNA. A considerable amount of this time was working with engineering to improve existing designs and perfect new ones. I processed planned the fabrication and machining of fixture construction and new die builds. I have extensive experience in machining, building, and repairing large automotive die sets. I am highly skilled in working on all types of dies trimming, forming, and draw dies, with experience on outer and inner panel dies. I can operate all types of machines common to the tool room. I have thousands of hours operating CNC mills. I am proficient at mig, tig, and stick welding on steel, cast iron, and aluminum metals. I have several years experience fabricating and machining all types of jigs and fixtures. I used optical tools to set details on fixtures and install them on the assembly line. In addition to my experience on dies and fixtures, for the last 12 years I was assigned to the injection mold area. My duties for this assignment have included new mold tryout on three model changes and repairs on all molds in production. The latest set of molds have Yudo valve gate systems.
