As Service Center Manager of a satellite terminal for Xpress Global Systems, a subsidiary of U S Xpress, Ent, Inc was responsible for the day to day operations of the service center. Directed and coordinated all activities of operations including Recruitment, Training, Evaluation, Discipline and Discharge of all driver, warehouse and office personnel. Assured compliance with all DOT/ OSHA regulations, Haz-Mat administrative, safety rules and all company policy and procedure. Inspected and oversaw repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles, and service center to enforce standards for safety, efficiency, cleanliness, and appearance. Reviewed transportation schedules, driver assignments, logs and routes to ensure on time delivery of product. Prepared management recommendations, such as need for increasing rates, expansion and changes to existing routes. Analyzed expenditures, P & L's and other financial reports to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services. Conferred with upper management in formulating and implementing administrative, operational and customer relations, policies and procedures. All new hire associates formal orientation and certifications were handled by me. Entered payroll and payroll reports daily. Proficient with AS-400 system and bar-coding scanning equipment, along with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Maintained a high level of OS&D integrity by installing scanning equipment, training qualified, associates and maintaining a clean, well organized warehouse. Increased on time delivery service to 99.35% to an all time high in the first quarter of 2007, while providing excellent customer service to local and national accounts. Winner of 7 of the last 9 years of "No Lost Time Injuries" Service Center awards.
