Description
I am a Ph.D. Creative Writing graduate of Florida State University and adjunct professor of English and Humanities at Barry University where I also tutor students in research writing. Also, I am an award-winning author (Voices of the Apalachicola, University Press of Florida, 2006) and co-editor of several books. I have won a major grant ($25K)from Florida Humanities Council for "Econfina Creek: Preserving Water Resource History," a community forum, kiosk installation, driving tour and study book on Panama City's major drinking water source. My day job is with the Office of Information Technology Training Team for the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) where I have developed and delivered online training, refined core curriculum for annual mandatory policy training, redesigned and updated course materials and provided support for web-based and classroom continuing education courses and resources. In addition, I have developed community education events, designed PowerPoints and video presentations, addressed conferences and produced posters, brochures, and kiosk displays.
