SUMMARY: * Over thirty five years in precision machining with ten years in supervision. * Responsible for the direction of fourteen machinists. * In charge of setting up various machine shop equipment Responsible for first piece and final inspection QUALIFICATIONS: * Competent in the use of all common machine shop equipment, including setting up and operating engine lathes of all sizes * Operating CNC lathes, setting up and operating all manual milling machines, operating CNC milling machines * Setting up and operating linear grinders and rotary grinders, as well as the use of inspection tools and gauges. * Capable of working to tight tolerances and high surface finish requirements. * Able to troubleshoot equipment and tooling, recommending solutions where necessary. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: * Provided training to more than twenty trainees bringing them up to the level of competent machinists * Helped develop special techniques for the machining of exotic materials
