I am interested in obtaining a position where i can utilize my present skills, work performance, in machine setup & operation or Mig & Stick Welding & inspection. Also to implement quality assurance of job satisfaction. Experience:10 Years Trinity Marine Inc./ Madisonville, LA Class "A" Welder/ January 2005 - October 2009 then Janary 2012 to December 2015 Review layouts, blueprints, diagrams, or work orders i preparation for welding or cutting metalcomponents of Barges. Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes and increase size of metal parts, using welding equipment. Weld metal parts or components together, using arc welding equipment. Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead position. Clean or degrease parts, using wire brush, portable grinder, or chemical. Inspect Finished work piece for conformance to specifications. Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scraper or power chipper, portable grinder, or arc-cutting equipment. Position work pieces and clamps together or assemble in jigs or fixtures. Preheat work pieces, using hand torch or heating furnace. Ignite torch or start power supply and strike arc.
