As a project manager Carl showed a good ability to manage the twenty-five-person construction crew of master tradesmen and craftsmen: from excavation and foundation work, rough and finely finished carpentry, electrical, dry-wall and painting, door and window case work. Beyond that, Carl managed all of the day-to-day purchasing and logistical planning. Week after week he effortlessly handled an extensive amount of responsibilities, using great initiative to identify problems and devise solutions.
