CollapseDescription

As for my work history, I practiced criminal defense as an Assistant Public Defender for four-years (honored in 2003 with the Assistant Public Defender of the Year award) and in private practice (as well as civil and administrative law) for another twelve-years within the Central Florida area. I later accepted a position as a prosecutor, and stayed on for eight-years. Primarily, I was an Assistant State Attorney (honored in 2005 with the Assistant State Attorney of the Year award), and thereafter, as Assistant General Counsel prosecuting administrative law matters within the Prosecution Services Unit, at the Florida Department of Health. In addition to my legal career, I also taught pre-law and paralegal classes at several accredited colleges. While in private practice, my civil and administrative functions included the filing of civil actions for foreclosure, eviction, breach of contract, family, negligence, personal injury, insurance claims, debt collection, specific performance and petitions for appointment of a receiver, to appeals, and conducting post-judgment discovery in aid of execution, etc. I have drafted more than one-thousand motions, subpoenas, petitions, appeals, or post-judgment pleadings. In addition, I have conducted extensive pre-trial discovery in thousands of cases, including the retaining or consulting many expert witnesses in specific areas of study, particularly in the varied fields of forensics, including accounting, chemistry, medicine, and psychology. I have also crossed-examined opposing experts for purposes of investigating cases, pretrial discovery or trial. I also enjoy drafting templates and conducting legal research for the office.
