I have been in the low/medium/high & extra high voltage field for 30 years I've programmed electro mechanical protective relays doing power factor of transformers fro 480-770mva retro fit rebuilt and inst stalled electrical equipment doing maintenance troubleshooting new installations such as coal solar and gas powered power houses doing breaker trip unit programming and testing and working self taught in doing the protective relays micro processors and solid state that is what i'm looking to be taught is to program those type relays an programmable protection relays such as motor transformer from 480 volt to 770 mva breakers acceptance testing the protective relay programming and testing is to get to where i can do them with confidence I have all the other skills with doing the other electrical equipment the switzer beckwith, GE & Siemens multilin relays i put in test values and communicate and test the relays then using the load study/ coordination studies have all been does I've am familiar with but not good enough to strictly rely on them. but I have had a disability since 2009 and and i cant do what i did before because of physical limits doing the relays they are done with laptops and usually a doble test set to program these protective relays in power house's and electrical substations and control systems in field services
