QUALIFICATIONS * Proficient computer skills and EMR management * Strong ICD-9 and ICD-10 abstracting and coding experience * Strong CPT-4 abstracting and coding experience * Proficiently apply coding guidelines to CPT and ICD * Strong E & M skills * Optum and Medisoft skills * Very strong medical terminology skills * Great understanding of disease processes * Strong critical thinking skills * Extensive experience with Cerner Millennium Power Chart * High level of professionalism and integrity * 9 years of acute care hospital facility experience * Strong communication skills * Understanding of workflows, policies and procedures * Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations * Obtain patient medical records for physicians, technicians, and medical personnel * Maintain and operate a variety of health record indexes and retrieval systems to collect, classify, store, or analyze information
