QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Ability to do the work of Fork Lift Operator, WG-5704-05 without more than normal supervision applicants must meet this screen out element (Reliability And Dependability) to be considered further and should document experience which includes the ability and experience to perform the duties of a Fork Lift Operator: operating an electric, gasoline or diesel powered warehouse-type tractor, towing wheeled trailers carrying supplies loading, unloading, moving stacks or un-stacking palletized material and heavy materials in warehouses, freight cars, and trucks. * Ability To Handle Weights and Loads * Shop Aptitude and Interest Special Aptitude * Ability To Follow Directions in a Shop * Dexterity and Safety * Ability To Work as a Member of a Team Physical Effort: Moderate physical effort is used in operating hand and foot controls while driving, turning, and stopping the forklift truck and raising, lowering, and tilting the loads being moved. Frequently lifts, positions, and carries supplies and equipment weighing from 20 to 50 pounds and, occasionally, up to 70 pounds. Working Conditions: Works inside and outside in cold, damp, drafty, and hot areas. Subject to injury from falling objects, collisions, shifting loads, overturning. Hearing protective devices and/or other protective devices and/or safety equipment must be worn during all periods of time incumbent is exposed to hazardous condition (s). Working conditions are considered in the evaluation of the job and do not meet criteria for compensation by environmental or hazard pay. Conditions of Employment: Position requires on line written test and forklift operation testing. Prior to receiving Forklift Operator's permit.
