October 28, 2015 Hiring Manager I was excited to see your job opening and I hope to be invited for an interview. My background is as a Software Support Analyst and Systems Administrator. This included diagnostics and resolution of numerous geoscience application issues on high-end Windows 7 workstations, hardware diagnosis/repair & dedicated desktop support interfacing directly with the customer. I’ve also supported traveling customers overseas via VPN to remedy issues. My work at ConocoPhillips for the last 17 years exceptionally qualifies me to pursue your I.T. position. I began as a contracted Desktop Support Analyst and eventually was hired full time. My responsibilities increased at that time to include Dedicated Support for all issues the Geoscience and Engineering businesses encountered to ensure timely resolution(s) for critical time sensitive projects. I became a Systems Administrator to begin a higher-level career path and as a precursor to a team lead position. In addition to my MCSE knowledge of current Microsoft products including Office 365, I’m very adept at hardware repairs on workstation or personal class computers.
