PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: * Assist the elderly in activities of daily living, i.e., bathing, transfering positions, etc. * Process utility requests for customers to determine if we offer facilities in the area where they are requesting services. * Update and maintain daily logs of the various types of services we perform on a daily basis. * Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. * Check patients in and out for their appointment and schedule any future appointment (s). * Use an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system (Practice Partner 14) to assist in patient care. * Answer telephone which includes scheduling of new patient appointments, follow up appointments, radiology services, laboratory services, etc. to meet patient care needs. * Arrange appointment for patients who need further care beyond our scope. * Check insurance benefits. * Collect copays, keep track and send off daily deposits. * Transcribe medical staff dictation (operative reports, consultations, history & physical etc.) from various specialties for a hospital (radiology, orthopedic, neurosurgery, emergency department, etc) and also for an acute care pain management clinic. * Proofread documents for spelling and grammar mistakes. Make physical copies of records to be filed in secure records room. Update patient data in medical system database. * Typing skills of 65 wpm. * Knowledge of medical terminology and the various medical specialties as required in areas of responsibility. * Excellent communication skills. Ability to work and communicate in a positive and cooperative manner. * Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices. * Ability to use designated reference materials. Ability to operate designated word processing. * Maintained a log of patients and procedures, office visits, consults that were done on a daily basis.
