PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY I have worked in the aviation field most of my adult life, well in excess of 8 years it is something I have enjoyed very much, I have a passion for military aircraft, and I am proud to have served my country in a capacity, that allowed me to play a role, I want to continue in this field as long as I can, although I currently work on the F-22 as a painter, I am eager to try my hand at the electrical systems of this magnificent aircraft. In addition to my painting ski set, I also have 8+ years as an avionics technician, working on the F-16 navigation, GPS, muti band radios, UHF, VHF, beyond line of sight, and sat comm radio system, weapons management system, air data system, helmet mounted targeting system, IFF, AIFF, use of test equipment specific to these system, pitot static system digital flight controls, preparing aircraft for flight, trouble shooting post flight right ups, use of 781 acft forms, interfacing with pilots to remedy in flight problems, I worked with the team that installed the new center pedestal display, and I am familiar with its operation, and unique, and challenging maintenance characteristics. In addition to my skills as an avionics technician, I have fuel systems experience, such fueling, and de-fueling aircraft, all safety procedures for grounding aircraft, and making safe for maintenance. I have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions. Makes repairs to aircraft and follows direction of higher graded workers. The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. This worker reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Work involves replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft. Job duties require that this mechanic adjusts, repairs, or replace electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, may service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, may specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair. May be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration. extensive experience in Visual and dimensional inspection of in-process assemblies, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, completed mechanical units and manufactured parts. skilled in Use various inspection tools and devices to accept or reject any non-conforming or malfunctioning assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. I have extensive experience working with blueprints, sketches, customer specifications, inspection instructions and checklists. Skilled at Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. I possess advanced knowledge, and experience working with with Buyers, Planners, Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers & Quality Engineering Departments, 10+ years of experience using inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, Dial indicators, and visual standards Computer Skills & Knowledge to read and comprehend Blueprints, specifications and work instructions am able to work under limited supervision, am able to verify calibration of area tool Problem solving, Ability to communicate effectively in writing, and verbal Basic GD&T Knowledge I am available to work overtime when needed.
