I am interested in an academic research position, that allows me to pursue questions regarding how retrotransposons impact telomere maintenance and DNA repair mechanisms. Such studies are best pursued in the context of research environments that would involve studies with a larger objective related to understanding cancer, aging, neuronal diseases, and stem cells.
