Description
I'm interested in applying for a crane operator’s position. I am confident that my skills are well-aligned for the role, and that I would be an excellent fit for your organization. As an NCCCO Licensed Crane Operator for large and small hydraulics, I recently added lattice boom crawler and will be renewing all of my endorsements this year. My Safety career began as a Crane Operator; as a dual role, my experience includes Military deployment ops from ship to shore crane operations during the Gulf Wars and Movement control within the AOR of Southern Afghanistan’s LOGCAP IV Program, Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), whilst implementing OSHA standards and maintaining regulatory requirements throughout the region of the AOR. During my time working at Dyn-Corp. Intl. as HSE Regional Supervisor, I have learned a great deal in the AOR and achieved a number of professional goals. One of my highest achievements was earning the HSE Regional Supervisor's position from Field Safety Professional. This led to overseeing the largest HSE region in Southern Afghanistan and turning my newly acquired Regional HSE department, (KAF) around from having the highest incident rate, (TRIR) and the highest corrective actions for Governmental Contract Compliance, to the lowest and becoming the number one Region in setting the standards for which Dyn-Corp. HSE Safety to be modeled from thereafter in Southern Afghanistan. My dual role involved Movement Control operations as were top secret as I performed in loading and unloading equipment from night flight ops Air Bus operating swing cab hydraulic cranes. Since returning to the US in 2012, I achieved the OSHA 501 Outreach Trainer’s Certification, at UT of Nashville, earning the ability to certify individuals and company employees the OSHA 10 and 30 Hr. Course. I believe my experiences and track record make me an excellent fit for an opportunity to work for your organization. I have enclosed my resume for your consideration. Please feel free to contact me via phone or email at a time of your convenience to discuss my background as well as the requirements for the role. Sincerely, Larry “Skip” Sims 615-927-1930 skipper.sims@gmail.com
