Dear Recruiting Team, I am looking for a position in Research and Development (R&D) in the Battery/Energy storage/Electrochemical industry. I have recently defended my PhD dissertation at the Department of Physical Chemistry at the Philipps University of Marburg, Germany. My dissertation entitled ??Transport of ions through solid electrolytes for energy storage and conversion?. The study of my PhD research project has helped me to develop analytical, technical and creative thinking skills. I have gained valuable expertise in the processes of designing, developing the techniques (comprises: ion source, electrostatic ion optics, sample holder), and investigating the electrical, material properties of solid electrolytes. Prior to entering the PhD program, I had two years of experience as a Project Associate/Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore, India. My project work involved the design, synthesis and characterization of plastic crystal, polymer electrolytes, and electrode materials for rechargeable lithium ion batteries. In addition, I have broad experience of synthesis and investigation of inorganic materials for batteries. During my PhD program and stay at IISc, I have published nine (9) research articles in which seven (6) peer reviewed international journals and three (3) conference papers. I have gained expertise in the synthesis of solid electrolytes, electrode materials and variety of characterization techniques such as AC-impedance spectroscopy (IS), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), X??Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) etc. Apart from this I have also experienced in handling the project independently and as part of a team, working under pressure, and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively, gained outstanding time management and organizational skills.
