Programmed, set-up, and operate all axis various NC/CNC machining, turning centers. Includes knowing machine capabilities & limitations, controller operations, identifying and resolving problems such as unusual sounds or vibrations in the machinery, changes in offset values, and worn cutters/tool inserts. Skilled in the use of the appropriate tool(s) for a given type of work. Think before acting, (e.g., anticipate outcome of an action, know if something looks wrong) and ask questions when necessary. Turning, milling, drill, ream, hone, bore, lap and/or countersink straight and close tolerance holes. Work with model, and interpret prints. Use shop mathematics including trigonometry and geometry. CAD/CAM programming on two dimensional, three dimensional, and solid modeling, using Mastercam software. Worked as a tool and die maker, field service installation, electronics and mock-up assembly. Troubleshoot and edit program media (e.g., Media Tryout (MTO) as required. Familiar with Team Concept, Employee Involvement (E.I.), Just in time (JIT), Kanban, Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Mil-specs, and International Standard Organization (ISO). Implement work and manufacturing instructions. A safety and a 5S focal, and I derive job satisfaction by doing quality work on schedule.
