My name is Kelsey Meyer. I am writing this letter because I am interested in a position. I graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College with a 2 year degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. I have almost three years of experience working in the medical field. In 2012, I worked for eight months at Hiawatha Homes as a Home Health Aide. I also have worked for REM Woodvale in Kasson for the past year and a half. I was a Direct Support Professional until July of this year. I was then promoted to Program Coordinator through REM in July. I currently just moved to Albert Lea in beginning of November. I am sad to leave the job I have now and was hoping to find a job within the same field. I enjoy the type of work I do and am a fast learning, dependable, hard worker. I have obtained a few skills over the years as well as through school. I took 2 Nursing Assistant courses while getting my degree at RCTC. Here is an overview of my skills: Managing finances, balancing checkbooks, monthly asset reports, key medical orders, staff scheduling, scheduling doctor appointments, taking clients to their appointments, filing paperwork, medication administration, problem solving, personal hygiene care for clients, following policy and procedures, documentation on forms, reports, checking vitals, weight, urine, serving and feeding consumers, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry.
