Description
I have worked in a fast paced, high acuity area of the hospital for over 19 years. I have gained excellent assessment,critical thinking and management skills during that time. I have taken the past year and a half to look after my elderly mother full time. During that time I have had many home health professionals come to my home and spoke with them at length about their jobs and what it entails. I have come to appreciate the importance and need for this type of work. I enjoy teaching and spending time with patients. Something that is limited in a hospital setting related to time constraints. I am quite excited to pursue a career in this field.
