Description
Summary I have 37-years in Mechanical, Quality and Civil Construction fields. I worked in Power Plants (Gas/Geothermal/New & Retrofit), Petrochemical Plants (Shutdowns/Turnarounds/New Construction, Water Treatment Facilities (New & Retrofit), Government Facilities (Engine Test Facility-New/Base Expansion), Food Processing Plants (New and Expansions) and Aircraft Fueling Depot -(New). I spent 10-years in the US Air Force on Aircraft Maintenance and associated equipment for repairs and overhaul. My experience in maintenance and construction started in the field with hands on experience in numerous disciplines. Getting education on actual work while attending after work hour's available schooling and craft related seminars in various fields of interest. I was given the opportunity to practice the things I learned and moved up to supervision. Positions at first were Foremen, General Foreman, Superintendent, General Superintendent, Engineering Liaison and Site Manager. Worked with engineering on both sides (client / design group) to insure sub-contractors understood the scope of work, the need of site safety team, importance of project Quality control system and insure competent site construction staffing needs were met to comply with the contract documents, but also that the sub-contractors team or selected supervision was able to communicate with all others on site. I initiated daily subcontractor meetings to review the progress by all crafts with a two week look-ahead schedule for an overview of project schedule and the contracted schedules for the project. Safety meetings were held daily, checked on QC/QA on inspection statuses and code compliances. Document control on drawing distribution, updates and eventual required turnover documents for the commissioning team. I reviewed all RFIs, ECNs and field change notices to engineering issued either by design conflicts or client requests. My accomplishments were that my assignments were on time, on budget, and with no recordable injuries. I was very successful in my goals by developing a culture of honesty, integrity, problem-solving with support structure to advance projects through trying or difficult times. My intent is to be a mentor to all in the field and help achieve or reach goals daily.
