CollapseDescription

I have over 20 years of project management experience. The majority of which was at Westin Hotels and Resorts. I was tasked with traveling to each of their 4 and 5 starhotels to install all Computer equipment and train the hotel staff. Typically, it was a real roll-up-your-sleeves and do whatever it takes to complete the project on time and at budget and have nothing but glowing praise received by corporate management when all was said and done. I left Westin after the company was sold to Starwood Hotels, and it was decided to relocate the corporate offices to White Plains New York. I took some time off to complete some home remodeling, then accepted a contract position with IBMGS working on the Washington Mutual account. Unlike my role at Westin my role at IBMGS was a more senior one where I was the project architect and overall manager of the project tasked with deploying new or refreshed equipment to branches or call centers and generally worked out of their offices located in downtown Seattle. I managed other IBMGS division employees and or vendors that actually completed the on-site deployments. My contract ended with IBMGS due to Washington Mutual's desire to play a more active roll in deployment activities and Washington Mutual began to scale down IBMGS's contract involvement. In the 10 years since leaving IBMGS I have embarked on the greatest project of my life. It was called "Play An Active Role in Raising Our Two Children Project". While at IBMGS it was not unusual for me to be on the job 60-80 hours a week, for months at a time. I was lucky if I got to spend a few hours a week with each of them during that period. So we decided that I would focus on working small mostly local contract jobs and spend a lot more time with our children. Well, the project was a complete success. Our Daughter Kathlyne graduated with honors from NYU and is working in the marketing division at Capital One, and our son Paul-James graduated from the University of Washington and is growing with Porch, a successful local Seattle startup. The contract jobs that I participated in were everything from PC builds - to full Systems relocation activities. (I usually had my sleeves rolled up again.) I most recently worked with a team of Technicians responsible for refreshing all computer related equipment at Bank of America branches located in the Northwest. Equipment included HP rack mount Servers, networked UPS devices, Multifunction printers, HP Personal computers and related banking specific peripherals. Through our efforts and determination we completed deployment activities two weeks prior to the scheduled completion date.
