RETIRED FROM THE 117TH AIR REFUELING WING, ALABAMA AIR NATIONAL GUARD December 5, 2005 WITH 23 YEARS SERVICE WHERE I PERFORMED AS A COMBAT MEDIC. I SERVED IN BOTH IRAQI FREEDOM AND ENDURING FREEDOM. During my 23 years I performed in several functions, 1st Ga. Army National Guard in Savannah, Ga. As a Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic for 7 years 2nd I served as a Power Generator Mechanic/Operator 3 years, 3rd I spent 2 years in The Ga. Air National Guard as a Crash Fire Rescue Firefighter at the 165th ALW Savannah Airport. And finally 4th I spent the remaining 11 years as a Combat Medic of which 6 years were in Savannah, GA. While serving in Savannah, Ga. At the 165th Air National Guard, I also trained at Brooks, AFB in HEARING CONSERVATION “CAOCH” and was responsible for the HEARING CONSERVATION PROGRAM. The remaining 5 years were spent in the Alabama Air National Guard, Birmingham performing the same. It was with the Alabama Air National Guard 117th Air Refueling Wing where I was mobilized to serve overseas during Iraqi Freedom as well as Enduring Freedom. I returned late 2003 and retired in 2005.
