CollapseDescription

I am a highly motivated, seasoned veteran of high performance, scientific and technical computing solutions architecture with a detailed understanding of x86_64 CPU micro- architecture and how software application design, as well as parallel systems design and their underlying topology impact how well customer codes scale up as the number of nodes(cores) is increased and what to do when performance bottlenecks are encountered. I have over 15 years’ experience working in this industry in fast-paced high-pressure environments and situations involving customer emergencies where account managers have come to me for help to salvage high-profile corporate accounts that would have otherwise been lost to the competition had I not gotten involved. My background is primarily in HPC solution design in a technical pre-sales role supporting global field sales teams in all GEO's as well as deployment of large parallel systems and training of onsite personnel during the deployment phase. I have personally deployed every CX1000 system in the field for Cray Inc. when I was one of two individuals who remained after a series of RIF's were implemented to cut costs. As a result of the RIF's, I was the sole remaining technical headcount with any knowledge of the CX1000 system which was an 18-blade solution OEM'd by Bull who entered into an agreement with Cray who sold the product in North America under the Cray CX1000 brand. As the sole technical person left of what was a 15 headcount organization, I ended up having to perform all engineering duties including but not limited to pre- sales, post-sales support, installation, acceptance, training, RMA, repair, etc.... As you will note from my resume, I have worked for fortune 100 companies such as Intel where I spent 12 years, 8 of which as a Sr. Performance Analyst for SSG and 4 as a Product Line Manager for EPSD managing the HPC motherboard product line. I was one of two engineers at Intel who co- developed the half-u server motherboard form-factor now used in most blade server systems and am extremely well versed in customer application analysis and performance bottleneck detection and elimination.
