Description
Profile: * Managed 53 employee's in 3 departments as well as the budgets for those departments. * Solid background in warehousing and shipping experience and RF scanning. * Demonstrates strong yet professional leadership qualities. * Consistently striving to find more efficient ways of doing the job. * Experienced in fields of materials handling, warehousing (cycle counting), scanning and all other operation functions. * Skilled in developing and implementing standardized policies and procedures. * Maintain inventory control of a daily inventory average of $15,000,000. * Strong focus of the need to maintain 100% Service Levels with our customers. * Strong focus on achieving and maintaining 100% inventory accuracy. * Skilled leader and communicator accustomed to cross functional and procedural documentation. Supervise receiving picking packing and shipping of anywhere between 5,000- 10,000 units per day. Depending on workflow. * Operates facility in compliance with OSHA and CTPAT standards. Responsible for ensuring that all loads are loaded properly and to ensure that employees follow all quality and safety guidelines. Responsible for teaching the importance of customer quality expectations to all employees. Responsible for ensuring that all employees are well trained and up to date on company policies. Responsible for overseeing the warehouse and maintaining high inventory accuracy levels which is a high priority. The warehouse consists of 1773 detailed locations. * Monitoring the finished goods Cycle Count Program. Involved in reporting on the DC Budget and maintaining costs. Also trained in completing the annual budget for AC Distribution Center. * Experienced in working with all other departments to ensure that all internal and external customer needs are met. Including but not limited to providing support to Manufacturing Quality Control Transportation Customer Service and all other "sister plants". * Understands the importance of maintaining a strong working relationship with Human Resources to ensure all procedures are being followed and are up to date. * Consistently maintains a safe and professional work environment. Responsible for ensuring that all inbound loads from other DC's are unloaded verified and put away in a timely fashion. Responsible for monitoring the KPI Levels to manage man power in order to lower cost of man power per unit. * Implemented cross training in all areas to reduce man power cost and increase units per hour. * Created a "Proper Materials Handling" and "Clamp Control Pressure Settings "training manual for new hires. * Key role in the implementation of the processes for the DC and ensuring they are followed. * Traveled to Stratford to assist in training employees in their newly installed ASI system and scanners. * Led the flood recovery process for the AC Distribution Center in 2010. Worked closely with Plant Manager and others to ensure that the DC would be ready in time for assembly start up. * Arranged transportation for shipping the raw tanks that were salvaged back to our sister plants.
