There is no Microbiology or Immunohematology sections. Tests of a more complex nature are sent to a reference lab. This freedom has allowed more time to concentrate on supervisory tasks such as: Method validation (DCA Vantage for Microalbumin / Creatinine ratios) Levey-Jennings Charts (P.O.C. Glucose, Vitros 350 Chemistry Analyzer) Range Checks and Calibration of Sysmex instruments Review of Vitros Q.C. reports and range adjustments Set up IQCP, (Individualized Quality Control Plan) to provide for equivalent quality testing to meet the CLIA regulations for nonwaived tests (Triage DOA kit, and assisted with IQCP for: ISTAT PT/INR and Troponin I, DCA Microalbumin/Creatinine Ratio).
