CollapseDescription

I have provided support for the Wage Hour Division (WHD) at the Department of Labor with respect to budget execution, formulation, financial analysis, reconciliation and reporting. This agency has several complex funding appropriations and budget responsibilities. My responsibilities included but not limited to development and on-going analysis of baseline and multiply-years plans with reference to annual goals for designated accounts for this agency, forecasting, dispensation of funding requests, dispensation of spending requests, implementation of project start-up funds, management and reconciliated of financial, presentation of recommendation, solution related to short and long term program planning requirements, classification and summation of data for preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis, reconciliation of project funding throughout multiple dissimilar systems, and on-going collections, tracking, verification and reporting on budgets, commitment, and obligations. I have participated in several development stages of the Department’s Oracle financial system which required extensive managing and coordination of resources for WHD’s accounting lines and shared fund codes. I was also responsible for managing and overseeing entire employment data in the Peoplepower system for WHD. These two systems required me to work closely with the department’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) staff, Division of Budget Center (DBC), Office of Assistant Secretary Administration and Management (OASAM), contract IT staff persons and other agencies within the Department. WHD's managers have given me opportunities to represent them in other areas as well as demonstrate my ability to communicate and provide excellent customer services throughout the Department of Labor.
