Description
I am a professor who has 20+ years experience in multimedia (image/video/speech/audio) research and development, (1) being IEEE Fellow and HKIE Fellow, Chair of multiple IEEE Technical Committees, Associate Editor of 10+ academic journals, distinguished lecturer, (2) spearheading multiple industrial projects on telecommunication, video streaming, video transcoding, speech corpus, image capture, display, smartphone apps, etc, (3) planning/executing funding proposal, execution, reporting, financing, (4) training/supervising 60+ students in exploring cutting-edge state-of-the-art research areas/topics and associated applications, publishing 70 papers in top journals and 370+ papers in top conferences, (5) attending/ contributing actively in international standard meetings (70 contributions in MPEG, VCEG, JCTVC) and national standard meetings (10 contributions in China AVS), with 7 of my tools accepted into standards, and filing 90+ patents with 20+ granted.
