Highlights:
Good morning Patty.
Forwarding this letter in appreciation for your hard work, competency, and the
"can-do" attitude you displayed yesterday, 01 Sep 06, for the Meijer Vitamin
Reset, store #214.
On this day, you:
a. Were made aware in an emergency ChicagoLand Performance Manager
conference call (early morning) that the Plainfield, IL Meijer's Vitamins reset < BR>was an unacceptable mess. You worked immediately to come up with 4-5 people to
get over there (~1.5 hrs away) but the direction was changed from sending in
those folks that morning to one of sending them in to fix the set Friday night
(last night).
b. Despite having been up more than half of your Friday, you volunteered
to LEAD THE EFFORT TO FIX THE STORE's STATUS despite the responsibility
belonging to another Performance Manager.
c. You rounded up a team of 5 from your chain of command and worked with
two other associates to ensure the store met expectations for this massive
project. (The attached EMAIL report outlines the details of what had to be done
to fix the section.)
d. You provided the detailed summary of your solution and the status of
the store (as a result of your leadership) when you probably would have
preferred to go to bed. You left nothing "hanging".
e. Lastl y, having heard of another competent associate that is moving to
Chicago, with Meijer experience, you are already providing the longer-term
solution/concept of operations for ensuring expected service for this program in
the future for your fellow manager's territory.
Your exemplary dedication to this company and your professionalism are critical
in our efforts to highly perform. Your behavior is indicative of our finest
managers. Keep up your outstanding work. I THANK YOU for a job WELL DONE!
(Linda, please place a copy of this in Patty's corporate file. I thank you, in
advance.)
Respectfully,
