Sales associates have an emphasis on department and product knowledge, providing information on product features, and knowing related items to sell an entire project. Associates in this position know how to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments. Sales associates maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure that it is clean, shippable, and safe. Each associate has the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager On Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers. These associates work in cooperation with their Department Supervisor and other associates in their department as well as other sales departments. Specific store departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental. Sales position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist. Current: A&B LifeTime Transportation LLC, Rahway, New jersey Operation Supervisor Scheduling all loads start to finish, Working directly with company drivers and owner operators, Constant communication with customer driver and receiver via EDI and GPS Teletrac Tracking Systems, Scheduling driver appointments for timely deliveries, driver payroll, maintain FMCSA compliance with driver logs, fleet maintenance, random drug and alcohol screen testing results. Logistics planning, verbal and digital communication with drivers, follow up on all operating functions, preparing all invoices for audit and PNL flow charts, booking loads via third party sources, prospecting perspective customer for accounts via phone and Contact networking.
