Description
I am a results-oriented, experienced, strategic thinking, curious and innovative technology leader with a solid track record for driving real-world business value – improving solutions by defining, building, managing, and optimizing best-in-class processes, business applications and system architectures. I am looking for a new position that is entrepreneurial and innovative, and where I can use my broad technical and business background, education, and experiences to help the group and company to be more successful. I have over fifteen years of experiences with modern programming languages, tools and the software development life cycle (SDLC) utilizing the Agile and Waterfall methodologies. I have experiences with software development and research (individual contributor), software development management (managed, grew, and mentored small and large groups of diverse engineers and support staff), program and project IT and software management, and IT consulting. As a consultant, I worked with IT and system managers, and have experiences presenting to C-suite executives. I lead by example; I strive for the highest quality of work/product and expect those who work for me and those who I work for, to do the same. When possible I manage by consensus and seek out the opinions and knowledge of my teammates and mentors, but will make the hard decisions when required. I am always looking for ways to collaborate with my teammates/peers; increase my technical and business knowledge and enjoy mentoring/helping others do the same. I bring strong multifaceted IT background, a unique blend of talent, education, commitment, and experience to the position and teammates. I am a strong advocate of STEM Education; both my children have chosen STEM careers (Neuroscience/Medicine and Math/Actuarial Science). I have lectured at several local middle schools (6th grade) as part of the STEM Education Program at IBM (DIGITS).
