SUMMARY 15 plus years of expertise in managing Symantec NetBackup versions 6.0, 6.5, and 7.1 on Solaris, HP-UX, Windows, AIX and Linux. Expertise with upgrades of NetBackup from 4.5 to 5.0 to 6.0, to 6.5, to 7.1. Expertise with installation and configuration of over 100 SAN media servers utilizing SSO. Expertise with installation and patching NetBackup master servers, media servers, and pure clients. Experience with NDMP, NFS, DB2 SQL, NETAPP and BCV backups. Experience in daily NetBackup data storage and recovery, restores, importing, and performing disaster recovery tests and documentation. Experience in NetBackup tape drive hardware and software additions and configuring the devices into existing master and media servers. Expertise in creating/adding storage units and managing backup policies, volume pools, for daily, weekly, monthly requested retention periods. Strong experience in NetBackup command line usage. Experience in NetBackup vault configuration and management. Experience with migrating clients from existing master servers to new or other existing backup environments. Strong experience working with backups on Solaris databases that utilize Oracle RMAN. Expertise in troubleshooting/fixing failed client and and rerunning them to completion. Experience in configuring catalog backups for disaster recovery availability. Expertise with physical tape libraries StorageTek L700, 9810, 9310 powderhorns utilizing ACSLS, and also IBM 3584 LTO libraries. Experience with daily use of multiple types of tape drives including 9840B, 9940B SAN fiber and cabled tape drives. 15 years of experience with multiple Solaris and Window master servers the largest being 580 masters with 30,000 total clients.
