My experience not only includes those of a registered floor nurse, but also the experience of charge nurse, cardiac stress test nurse, endoscopy procedure room nurse, and preceptor. I am very comfortable working all departments of the hospital. I strongly believe that education is a vital component of nursing. Every encounter with a patient is a chance to educate to promote optimum outcomes for the patient. I possess excellent communication and customer service skills and am always an advocate for my patients. My years of experience in many different areas and specialties of medicine in which I have had the opportunity to practice, has impressed upon me how important it is to "look at the big picture" to achieve excellent quality of patient care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. I possess very strong practical skills, communication skills, leadership abilities, and believe in promoting teamwork and effective working relationships with staff, physicians and patients to ensure an optimal environment of care.
