Description
I'm a seasoned lawyer with over 33 years of legal practice. Through all these years, I have had the chance of working in different areas, including litigation in Federal Court, mostly in labor laws, employment issues, civil rights, and also, medical malpractice, real estate closings and bankruptcy. I have been counselor for several corporations involved in the interstate commerce, and I have represented them in Court. I have broad experience in representing several companies in labor law, and contractual claims which I deem would be helpful for any employer in need of a legal counsel. I worked for the local DOJ years ago, and for the municipality where I live as well. I have also worked for local banks representing them in mortgage foreclosure matters, claims before administrative agencies, general liability claims. In addition, I have represented several insurance companies in general liability cases, including product liability claims. I’m fully bilingual (English+Spanish) and I was the top GPA of my law school class. I’m a hardworking man who feels that has a lot to offer to any agency that hires me. I think I have enough experience to work for you. I’m eager to learn, as I have done in the past with other areas of the law field. The reason for looking for a new job is that I have been doing the same thing during the last 31 years, and I need a change, not only in what I do, but also in where I live. The economy in Puerto Rico is down, and I need job security. Even though I’m still actively working at Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, I’m open for immediate relocation, preferably in the Southern California area where I have a house though I'm open to work somewhere else.
