Pathologist 18 years experience

As my CV states, I am a board certified cytopathologist but I have a strong general pathology cytopathology experience involves evaluation of Pap tests and correlation with biopsies, evaluation of adequacy on lung and liver biopsies, performing thyroid and lymph node FNAs and evaluation of nongyn cytology primarily of urine and pulmonary specimen. I have worked with breast, gastrointestinal (esophagus and colon), skin, cervix and endometrium biopsies. I have been working in the United States in a nonhospital based practice. The laboratory predominately worked with rural hospitals and clinics that had at most three surgeons and may have up to ten other clinicians. I have a history of a strong interaction with clinicians and laboratory personnel. I am the person who would go on the road most frequently and attending staff meetings, perform frozen sections and monitor the laboratories. My interaction with physicians includes calls to give the diagnosis of malignancy. I have a long experience in monitoring laboratory QC and QA. I also have a strong background in chemistry from prior to medical school.
