Description
Briefly, I am a 7th issue (35 years) 200ton USCG Master NC Power & Sail with TWIC. I have been involved in various aspects of the marine industries for over 40 years including Delivery Captain, Corporate Captain and Oilfield Captain. The sea has been my life and I love being offshore especially at night. Safety is my number one concern and my main fiduciary duties is to the safety of my crew, passengers and vessel. I firmly believe that if one takes care care of his vessel, the vessel will take care of him. I conduct weekly drills, maintain meticulous logs closely oversee all engineering & machinery areas and insist on proper logs, very clean, organized orderly spaces. Maintain proper housekeeping and hygienic galley, heads & showers, etc. I work well with my shipmates and try to communicate with all whom I work with in a manner which is friendly and doesn't come across as dictatorial or demanding. However, an emergency situation does require orders to be given succinctly and not necessarily pleasantly, but respectfully.
